A LITTLE CLARITY GOES A LONG WAY

YOUR QUESTIONS.
ANSWERED.

Straightforward answers about frozen feeders, pack sizes, delivery and handling your order safely.

Ordering & delivery

How much does frozen delivery cost?

Standard eligible delivery is £14.99 on product subtotals under £30, £12.99 from £30 to £59.99, and £9.99 from £60. Eligible Scottish Highlands addresses carry an additional £13.00. See the full delivery price table.

When do you despatch?

Monday to Thursday, with a 12 midday UK-time cut-off for same-day despatch, subject to availability and closures. After the cut-off, orders move to the next available despatch day. Orders placed after midday Thursday or Friday to Sunday are scheduled for Monday, subject to any closure dates.

The courier service is Next Day Before 12 following despatch to eligible destinations. Read our delivery information for the details.

Can you deliver to my postcode?

Frozen delivery is available to eligible Great Britain addresses. Ireland, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, Scottish offshore islands and two-day-only courier areas are excluded. The Highlands surcharge applies only where the required service is available.

Send us your full postcode if you are unsure; a mainland address is not automatically eligible.

Can I combine this order with Letterbox Livefoods or The Reptile Warehouse?

Each store has its own basket, checkout and delivery charges. Frozen food travels separately from live insects and equipment, so please place a separate order with each store.

What should I check before placing an order?

Check the feeder size, pack quantity and delivery details carefully. Frozen delivery has postcode restrictions, so review the delivery charge and address before paying. Contact us if you need help choosing a pack or checking your postcode.

Products & feeder sizes

Does the pack quantity mean individual feeders or bags?

Read the quantity in the product title. For example, “5 Pack” means five individual feeders in that pack; ordering two packs gives you ten feeders. A product sold by weight, such as a 10 kg box of chicks, is a weight-based pack rather than a guaranteed number of individual feeders.

What do the gram ranges mean?

For individually sized feeders, the weight band describes each feeder, not the whole multipack. “Medium Rats, 151–250g, 5 Pack”, for example, describes a pack of five rats in that individual size band. Natural variation means weights and appearance are not identical.

Which size should I choose for my reptile?

Use species-appropriate husbandry advice and the animal’s current size and condition, rather than the pack name alone. Our feeder-size guide uses your snake’s species and weight to suggest a size range where guidance is available. Ask us about the product size bands, and consult a reptile-experienced vet about dietary or health concerns.

Storage & safe handling

How should I store frozen feeders?

Put still-frozen feeders into the freezer promptly on arrival. Keep them double-bagged inside a rigid, airtight container, separate from human food and its packaging. Use a dedicated compartment or freezer where possible. Do not refreeze defrosted feeders.

Does freezing remove the need for hygiene precautions?

No. Freezing does not kill Salmonella. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling feeders or their packaging. Use dedicated feeding equipment and clean and disinfect contaminated equipment and surfaces. Keep feeder food away from children and food-preparation areas.

How do I defrost feeders safely?

Follow the product instructions and UKHSA guidance: defrost naturally on disposable paper, away from human food, kitchen sinks and preparation surfaces. Do not use a microwave, warm water or a hairdryer. Feed promptly after defrosting and use dedicated equipment.

Safety guidance: UK Health Security Agency — reducing the risks of infection from reptiles.

Help with an order

What should I do if my parcel is damaged or the food has defrosted?

Do not feed food you are concerned about, and do not refreeze defrosted feeders. Photograph the products, packaging and delivery label, and contact our team promptly with your order reference, delivery time and a description of the problem. We will review the details with you.

Can I change an order or delivery address?

Contact us as soon as possible, quoting your order reference and the change needed. Changes cannot be guaranteed once packing or despatch is underway. Please do not send payment-card details by email.
